Nuts 1987
As the producer and star of the 1987 legal drama Nuts, Barbra was concerned about all aspects of the production. When the musical score she'd desired for the picture failed to materialize (, Barbra decided that she would compose the music herself. She put together a series of themes and created a lovely -- if minimalistic -- 13 minute score. Columbia put the album out and it proved that among her many talents, musical composition was in her baileywick. One of the cuts, "The Bar" was a song Barbra and Richard Baskin had written together, "Here We Are at Last."
